Editorial Assistant

If you’ve been following @SadGirlOfficial on social media you’ve probably noticed how much care goes into the type of things we share. Our President and Founder Elisabeth Beckwitt has been running our accounts since the beginning and is the driving force behind our collective message as an organization. We’re looking for someone who wants to help spread that message.

As Editorial Assistant your primary duties would include:

  • Uploading our Social Media content to the various platforms

  • Assisting Elisabeth in the drafting of copy and the generating of content

  • Interact with our digital audience

It is very important to us that our message stay consistent throughout our growth, so when we do finally have somebody else drafting our editorial content we want that person to have an intimate understanding of our organization, what we stand for, and how we speak.

 

 

Starting Pay:

Assistant (uploading and interacting)- $100/month

Manager (drafting copy and quality assurance) - $400/month

Growth Potential:

Since our Social Media department is half of our Editorial Team (the other half being the blog writers) and will be working closely with the Digital Marketing department keeping our messaging consistent, there are multi potential paths for growth within the company.

After being granted autonomy over our Social Media (little to no daily supervision from Elisabeth), this person will be among the first candidates for the roles of Editor In Chief, supervising the entire Editorial department and editing all our blog articles; and Head of Digital Marketing, who will oversee our website and advertising departments while helping to create our overall brand marketing strategy.
